On June 22, 2018, TQS partnered with United Way of DeKalb County to participate in the Annual Day of Caring. Our team was assigned a home near our office where the couple asked that we paint a couple of rooms, touch up some areas, and clean the house. We began with breakfast at the First United Methodist Church, then arrived at the home, divided into teams, and tackled the requested projects for the day.
Since it was raining, we were unable to complete the outside tasks. However, we are scheduled to return to the home on Friday, August 3 to finish everything up.
This project was so rewarding for our team. About a week after we completed the indoor work the wife reached out to us to say thank you. She wrote, “You rock! Thank you for coming to our home and leaving it much better than it was before…bless each and every one of you. May it return in multitude.”
Our team will definitely be making this a tradition in years to come. We take great joy in helping those in need and in serving our community.
