TQS began in 1997 when our founder and president, Chris Straw, was working as a part-time quality liaison at GM in Fort Wayne. Chris saw such a demand for quality liaisons that he founded Team Quality Services, a company dedicated to helping suppliers deliver quality to their customers.
After incorporation in the USA in 1998, TQS began to pursue a global reach. In 1999, TQS became an international company by developing operations in Canada, and in 2000, operations expanded again to Mexico.
In the late 2000’s, TQS began extending their services to other industries. In 2010, services were added in the medical industry, and in 2011, TQS gained ISO 9001 certification. In 2013, the Quality Engineering division was added.
Over twenty years later, TQS has expanded to three countries with quality liaisons at over 80 automotive OEM plants. The company has continued to increase their reach by providing quality-related services to numerous industries, including the energy, oil & gas, healthcare, medical, and aerospace sectors.
