ISO 17025

  • ISO/IEC 17025:2005 specifies the general requirements for the competence to carry out tests and/or calibrations, including sampling. It covers testing and calibration performed using standard methods, non-standard methods and laboratory-developed methods. It is applicable to all organizations performing tests and/or calibrations. These include, for example, first-, second- and third-party laboratories, and laboratories where testing and/or calibration forms part of inspection and product certification. Class 1 Railroad Safety & Security Registration

  • The purpose of the program is to improve the security of railroad employees, operations and facilities. As part of these efforts, designated railroad contractors, vendors and suppliers are required to comply with the program. This includes:
    –  Personnel Screening and background investigations
    –  Compliance Awareness & Testing on required safety and security awareness
    – Workplace Credentialing as personnel are required to wear registered ID Badges when on railroad property
    – Badges are issued upon successful completion of background investigation and compliance testing

API – American Petroleum Institute

  • API distributes more than 200,000 publications each year. The publications, technical standards and electronic and online products are designed to help users improve the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of their operations, comply with legislative and regulatory requirements, and safeguard health, ensure safety and protect the environment.

CSA – Canadian Standards Association

  • Canadian Standards Associations (CSA) offers a large portfolio of energy-related standards that address safety, performance and efficiency requirements from the production facility, through transmission, to the point of use by consumers.

ASTM – American Society for Testing (formerly)

  • ASTM International develops international standards for materials, products, systems and services used in construction, manufacturing and transportation.

MSS – Manufacturers Standardization Society of the Valve and Fittings Industry

  • Provides its members the means to develop engineering standard practices for the use and benefit of the industry and users of its products. The Society, the only organization dedicated solely to the technical needs of the industry, is currently comprised of 24 technical committees that write, revise and reaffirm industry standards.

AWS – American Welding Society

  • Professional trade group of welders.

ANSI – American National Standards Institute

  • The Institute oversees the creation, promulgation and use of thousands of norms and guidelines that directly impact businesses in nearly every sector: from acoustical devices to construction equipment, from dairy and livestock production to energy distribution, and many more. ANSI is also actively engaged in accrediting programs that assess conformance to standards.

NACE International

  • NACE International is a professional organization for the corrosion control industry established in 1943. As of January 2012, there are over 28,300 NACE members in over 100 countries. NACE International is involved in every industry and area of corrosion prevention and control, from chemical processing and water systems, to transportation and infrastructure protection. NACE’s main focus of activities includes cathodic protection, coatings for industry and material selection for specific chemical resistance.
